Central earthing point (CEP - 2000 A)

Interconnection of the central earthing point according to the single-line diagram available.

The PEN and PE conductors of the CEP must be clearly marked. Furthermore, all connected conductors must be identified clearly and durably. For the PEN conductor, the current carrying capacity, and for the PE conductors, the short-circuit current carrying capacity must be verified by calculation. The complete conductor of the main earthing busbar and the foundation earth electrode are connected to the PE conductor.

  • 1 no. busbar as short-circuit-proof splitter bridge between the PEN conductor mentioned above and the flat copper PE conductor mentioned below, with a current rating equivalent to the PE conductor, cranked in correct position and interconnected with both conductors (PEN / PE). Equipped with push-on transformer as measured-value sensor for the differential current monitoring of this splitter bridge.
Adjusted for a differential current detection from 10 A to 100 A, with overload capacity up to 1,000 A. Output as RCM or EDS signal, adjusted to the evaluation unit mentioned below.
  • 1 no. differential current monitoring relay for fault current detection in the central earthing point described above.
    Technical data
Rated operational voltage Ue: 230 V AC
    Differential current: 30 mA to 30 A
Signalling relay: adjustable with time delay from 0 to 10 s, 2 changeover contacts
    Test/delete button: internal/external
Differential current indication: 0 to 100 %, digitally programmable, with LC display
Voltage-independent measured-value acquisition via external instrument transformer (see previous item) with connection monitoring.

To be delivered factory-programmed and mounted in the NPS main distribution, ready for operation.

  • 1 no. busbar as short-circuit-proof splitter bridge between the PEN conductor mentioned above and the flat copper PE conductor mentioned below, with a current rating equivalent to the PE conductor, and supplied loosely (second splitter bridge, if the first one needs to be removed).
  • Globally: various hardware (wiring ducts, terminals, measuring disconnect terminal, etc.) including all cubicle-internal control cables and necessary accessories, as well as clear identification on the outside of the cubicle with CEP.
  • Cable compartment for cable systems coming in at the bottom.
