CFC Engineering
For the creation of automation programs, the process automation system must provide an engineering function for management of "Continuous Function Charts" (CFC)
The configuration interface must be a graphical drawing interface predefined blocks and templates can be placed and connected with each other according to technological rules. The CFC engineering function automatically must determine the path to be followed by the lines and should compose the lines even across the boundaries of the page/chart. Tracking the lines across the edges of the page or chart is aided by navigation jumps in both directions.
The user mustn’t need to consider more details such as algorithms or the assignment of machine resources. No in-depth programming knowledge should be required.
The runtime properties of the blocks are expected to have default settings which can be adapted individually for each block. It is to be possible to copy one or more individual function blocks or entire groups of function blocks across CFCs. This significantly reduces the workload. Interconnections of affected function blocks are expected to be retained in this case.
There are CFC test functions to be available to test already created CFC functions in an easy way.
